JAMMU, Nov 17: The Sunderbani region witnessed a landmark sporting event as eight major schools participated in the first-ever Inter-School Volleyball Competition, held on 14 and 15 November 2025. The two-day tournament marked a significant step toward promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among the youth of the area.
The event commenced on 14 November with an impressive Opening Ceremony, beginning with the National Anthem followed by an inspiring motivational address by Col Balbir Jha, Chairman KMAS, in the esteemed presence of Mrs. Neeru Sharma, Principal, KMAS. Their encouraging words set the tone for the spirited matches that followed. The initial league matches were played throughout the first day, showcasing exceptional talent and enthusiastic participation from all eight schools. Spectators witnessed thrilling rallies and competitive spirit as teams battled their way toward the finals.
On 15 November, the grand Final Match was contested between KMAS Sunderbani and New Public School, Sunderbani. In an intense and well-fought encounter, New Public School Sunderbani emerged as the champions, lifting the trophy with pride. The Prize Distribution Ceremony was graced by Col Balbir Jha, Chairman , KMAS who felicitated the winners and participants. He appreciated the efforts of all schools and highlighted the importance of sports in character building and discipline.
The tournament concluded on a high note, reinforcing the commitment of KMAS and the Sunderbani education community toward promoting sports and holistic student development.
