New Delhi, Nov 13: The website of the Al-Falah University in Faridabad was taken down on Thursday (November 13, 2025) after a show-cause notice was issued to the institution by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council for displaying a false accreditation claim.
Days after it was revealed that the occupant of the car that exploded near the Red Fort on Monday (November 10, 2025) was a junior doctor at the university, the NAAC issued a show-cause notice asking why the institution continued to advertise itself as having Grade A certification from the NAAC, even though this certification had expired.
The NAAC, in its notice to the Registrar of the university, said two of the university’s colleges Al-Falah School of Engineering and Technology and the Al-Falah School of Education and Training had been certified as Grade A in 2013 and 2011, respectively.
It noted that these certifications were valid till 2018 and 2016, respectively, following which neither of the colleges had volunteered for the Cycle-2 assessment and accreditation process of the NAAC.
Despite this, the university website continued to show the colleges as having been graded by the accrediting authority.
