Jammu, Oct 23: A delegation led by Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal & Dean, GMC Jammu called on Dr. Raghav Langer, IAS, Secretary, National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi, and felicitated him.
GMC Jammu recently received an increase of 20 MBBS seats and 44 MD/MS seats, marking a significant milestone in its academic growth.
The NMC is undergoing a paradigm shift under Dr. Langer’s visionary stewardship, driving transformative reforms in medical education and regulation across the country.
In a significant move aligned with PM’s pledge to create 75,000 new medical seats all over India in over five years, the NMC has approved 10,650 new MBBS seats for the academic year 2024-25.
In addition, 41 new medical colleges has raised the total number of medical institutions in the country to 816.
