Kishtwar, 16‑10‑2025 The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) met today in Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) to review and approve applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme.
A total of 78 applications, duly verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs), were presented to the committee. Each proposal was assessed based on eligibility, project feasibility, and the socio‑economic background of the applicant.
After detailed scrutiny, the committee approved all 76 applications for financial assistance and handholding support, while two applications were rejected as they had submitted their application under the wrong scheme, as verified by the J&K Bank Manager, Cluster Head, Kishtwar.
The DC, Kishtwar, emphasized the importance of empowering youth to drive local economic growth. He directed the AD Employment Kishtwar to ensure that all approved cases are forwarded to banks as soon as possible, so that applicants can receive timely benefits under the scheme.
He also directed banks to sanction and disburse loans without delay and to provide regular mentorship to support the new entrepreneurs.
Mission YUVA continues to play a vital role in creating livelihood opportunities and promoting self‑reliance among the youth of Kishtwar district.
