KUPWARA, Aug 21: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today convened a meeting of concerned officers at the meeting hall of D.C Office here to review the developmental works and beautification initiatives in Kupwara town.
The meeting aimed to take stock of the progress on key infrastructure and civic projects, with a special focus on improving urban aesthetics, enhancing public facilities, and ensuring time-bound completion of various works under execution.
DC emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to achieve tangible outcomes on the ground. He directed all departments to adhere to timelines and maintain quality standards in all developmental activities.
He highlighted the significance of maintaining cleanliness and implementing sustainable beautification measures to uplift the overall image of Kupwara town.
He directed the MC to conduct special cleanliness drives in collaboration with all stakeholders including district administration, Education department, traders, transporters and street vendors to spread awareness about keeping the town clean and green, besides, imposing fines on the offenders for littering the town.
DC took a detailed review of all the ongoing developmental works of Kupwara town and impressed upon the officers to gear up the pace of work and ensure completion of all the projects within the stipulated time frame.
The works reviewed pertained to construction of footpaths, development of town hall building, construction of footbridges at Darzipora and Malik Mohallah, fencing of shelter home and marriage hall, illumination works and beautification measures for the town.
CPO Kupwara, Executive Officer MC Kupwara, Executive Engineer R&B Division Kupwara, AE R&B and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
