Jammu, July 19: Skill Tree Consulting (P) Ltd an NSDC empaneled Vocational Training Partner organized “The Digital Monsoon Camp” through virtual mode in consultation with Samagra Shiksha, J&K for students and Vocational Trainers on 16th and 17th July, 2024. This was an innovative initiative organized to bring in focus to vocational education alongside traditional academic learning. This camp aims to bring out the hidden talent from the students of far flung areas, also to make them aware about digital platform.
To begin with, Ms. Priya Malhotra, Vocational Coordinator, welcomed Mr. Aman Singh (Chief Operating Officer, Skill Tree Consulting Pvt. Ltd.), Officers/officials from Samagra Shiksha, J&K, Resource Persons from different organization and other participants. Also, she emphasized the importance of vocational education in preparing students for diverse career paths and highlighted the integration of vocational training into mainstream education and its benefits for student’s career.
The Chief Operating Officer, Skill tree Consulting Pvt. Ltd., discussed the critical role of digital skills in enhancing employability and encouraged the students and other team members to embrace Vocational learning opportunities.
The event was structured to ensure learning experience with each day dedicated to different themes and activities. Students participated in different activities which includes: Singing competition, Dance/Group Dance Competition, Model Making/ Chart making competition, Painting, Poem Recital, Role Play etc. Also, interactive and motivational sessions were delivered by Resource Person from different organization on different topics like Health & Hygiene to Social Media and many more.
Although, it was very informative programme and participants had gained valuable thoughts into various vocational fields, understood the importance of digital skills in today’s job market and motivated to use these skills for their future success. Vocational Coordinators played the key role on organizing the program.
Also, Vocational Trainers assisted the organizing team and participated actively for making the it successful.
The camp hosted participation from different group of attendees which includes students from various schools, vocational trainer’s (VT’s), Officers/officials from Skill Tree and Samagra Shiksha, J&K.
At least 77 students from different Government schools participated in the program, out of them 17 got 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in each category. The winners were appreciated and awarded with certificate of appreciation by the management of Skill Tree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. Also, certificates of participation were given to all the participating students.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Khaleeq Haroon, Vocational Coordinator. He appreciated the efforts of Vocational Trainers for giving their time and utilized their efforts in successful organizing of the programme and also, presented gratitude to the Resource Persons who spared some time for delivering the motivational speech and informative session during the program. He also, presented his gratitude to the management of Skill Tree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. for organizing such type of wonderful programs for the students and other stakeholders.
