Srinagar, June 20: The Anti-Corruption Branch, Srinagar CBI, has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against a serving Assistant Accounts Officer of the J&K State Handloom Development Corporation for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a retired employee to process pension-related corrections.
As per FIR, the complainant, who is a retired employee of the Corporation, alleged that an incorrect deduction of ₹1,49,010 under “EP Fund – Employees Share” was reflected in Form-9 sent to the AG’s office in connection with his pension. When the complainant approached the concerned official, Nasir Ahmad Dar, on June 11, the officer allegedly demanded ₹15,000 to rectify the error and provide the necessary forms/documents.
