JAMMU: A Junior Engineer of Rural Engineering Wing of Block Mungri, district Udhampur, has been caught red handed by Vigilance Organization Jammu while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant.
The accused, namely Sunil Gupta, son of Late Kishori Lal Gupta of Talab Sailan, Udhampur, JE in Rural Engineering Wing Block Mungri, was demanding and accepting Rs 25000 as bribe from complainant Pyara Singh of Prand, tehsil Mungri for releasing payment of the amount against execution of work done by him.
During the trap, under the command of Dy SP Kamaljeet Singh and Inspector Zafar Amin, the accused JE was caught red handed while demanding and accepting Rs 25000/- as illegal gratification from the complainant.
