Member TAC Rahil Gupta urge Transport Minister, DIG Traffic to look in to increasing number of Road accidents

 

JAMMU,Oct 21:  Member J&K Transport Advisory Committee, Chairman Media Cell & Member J&K Sports Council and  Editor in Chief of Cross Town News, Rahil Gupta on Wednesday telephonically talked to Transport Minister AG Kohli and urged him to  formulate a high level committee to look in to the increasing number of road accidents. Gupta said ”There have been increased number  of road accidents in last 5 years or so and in most cases overcrowded vehicles  have been the reason and especially  if you take the recent example of Udhampur accident”.

Kohli told Gupta that he has already asked RTO to look into the matter and submit the report. Kohli added” Soon a high level Committee will be formulated to look why such kind of accidents are happening”

Rahil Gupta also talked to  newly joined DIG Traffic Jammu Viplav Kumar and conveyed his concern to him on the Traffic sense and increasing road accidents. Viplav assured Gupta that he in coming days will get all Traffic rules implemented strictly in the region.
