CHENNAI,July 23: In a major relief to the embattled Sun Group, whose 49 FM radio channels faced uncertain future after the Union home ministry denied them security clearance on July 15, the Madras high court on Thursday directed the Centre to allow the group to participate in mock auctions on Thursday and regular auctions commencing on July 27.
Justice M Sathyanarayanan, who gave the relief hours before the mock auctions on Thursday, however, asked the Union ministry of information and broadcasting to keep the results of auctions in a sealed cover.
