New Delhi, May 27: Two days after hinting at conducting assembly elections in J&K very soon, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Monday again announced imminent Assembly Polls in the Union Territory to bolster the democratic process.
The CEC made it clear that the active participation of the people of J&K in Lok Sabha elections is a huge positive for upcoming assembly elections in the UT of J&K.
The Election Commission, led by CEC Rajiv Kumar along with Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, expressed gratitude to polling personnel and security In an official handout issued by the Election Commission of India on Monday, the CEC made it clear that the active participation of the people of J&K in Lok Sabha elections is a huge positive for upcoming assembly elections in the UT of J&K.
