Jammu, Apr 14: Within days after his father campaigned for Choudhary Lal Singh and Raman Bhalla, Omar Abdullah jumped into the electoral battlefield by addressing a series of public meetings in Ramban districts and sought support for Choudhary Lal Singh.
Omar Abdullah along with Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Vikar Rasool Wani along with local Congress and NC leaders started an aggressive campaign in the Chenab region for Choudhary Lal Singh.
National Conference leadership has directed its workers at the grassroots level to join the campaign with the Congress workers to avoid division of the non-BJP votes.
Former MP and Congress candidate from Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, Ch Lal Singh, while addressing series of elections rallies in hilly and remote areas of Doda and Udhampur districts said that locals will always be his priority if he is voted to power after ensuing Parliamentary elections.
Lal Singh said that Others never uttered a word in favour of the general public who suffered during the last one decade.
They have created public grievances cell but not even single grievance of the public was ever resolved or addressed & just befooled the general public by setting up such a cell.
He further said that once voted to power, will fight all public issues in the Parliament & assured in his fervent appeal to the general public & said, ” I can never forget in my life time the support and the love which the people of Jammu showered upon me during my tough time and this is the result of the blessings of the poor, laborers, downtrodden people that the Government despite of putting me in the jail, failing badly to gag my voice.
