MOHALI, Mar 08: Mohali Police arrested the five gangsters from Pilibhit within 72 hours after the killing of a Jammu based Gangster Rajesh Dogra alias Mohan Cheer.
Cheer was murdered was in a broad day light on March 4 on front of CP 67 Mall.
As per Punjab Police, the five accused including two cops are Anil Singh alias Billa (dismissed Cop in J&K Police), Harpreet Singh of District Meerut (U.P.), Satveer Singh alias Babbu of District Pilibhit (UP), Sandeep Singh of District Fatehgarh Sahib and Sham Lal of District Udhampur (Suspended constable in Jammu Police).
The Police teams recovered 03 Pistols(01 pistol .45 bore, 01 pistol .30 bore, 01 pistol .32 bore), 02 Revolvers .32 bore, one Pump action gun .12 bore besides 71 Live cartridges (02 pieces of .30 bore, 19 pieces of .32 bore and 50 pieces of .12 bore).
The four vehicles recovered from the accused including White Fortuner Car, a White Creta Car of J&K numbers.
Giving the details, SSP Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Dr Sandeep Garg said that the preliminary interrogation revealed that both the parties had been in a rivalry since 2006.
Rajesh Dogra alias Mohan Cheer was a Jammu-based gangster who had come out of jail recently and the rival group members were keeping track on him.
At a shopping mall in Mohali, the incident took place as soon as Dogra, accompanied by two others, reached outside the mall where attackers had reached in two vehicles.
“Using Cheer’s accomplice, the rival group members called Mohan Cheer at the Mohali mall and shot him dead when he reached the spot and all managed to flee from the spot.
Three suspects are still at large.
