Poonch: March 05: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), kickstarted work for heritage Library and youth recreation centre at the Poonch Fort (Qila). The facility consists of a heritage Youth library, Carrer counseling & Guidance centre and one office room, all under the AVSER schemes, with a focus on connecting youth with their heritage and also providing with placement opportunities and carrer counseling and guidance and skills development opportunities.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik (JKAS), Deputy Director Employment, Mohd. Rafiq(JKAS), Tehsildar Haveli, Azar Majid, CEO Municipality, Yaqoob Choudhary, as well as Assistant Engineers and other concerned officers. During the visit, Deputy Commissioner directed to ensuring the timely completion of the project.
He directed the executive agency and staff to ensure earliest completion of assignments The Heritage Public Library cum Youth Recreation Centre aims to provide a conducive environment for personal and academic growth, offering a rich collection of books, resources for counseling and guidance, and a dedicated space for staff to facilitate career development opportunities. The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of the project as being established at the heart of the city with an extended aim of heritage conservation.
