BJP meeting chaired by PM Modi to pick candidates for Lok Sabha Polls finishes at 4 AM ; J&K discussed

NEW DELHI, Mar 01: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) on late Thursday night to finalise the first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Sources in BJP told Cross Town News that the marathon meeting got over at at 4 AM on Friday morning , whereas PM Modi himself left the meeting after 3 AM  in the morning.

Sources told Cross Town News that the names for three Lok Sabha Seats of Jammu , Udhampur and Anantnag-Rajouri also came up for discussion.

The first list of more than 120 candidates likely to be announced soon.

The meeting was attended by leaders such as BJP National President JP Nadda, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadndavis, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Goa CM Pramod Sawant.
