
JAMMU, Feb 21: Finance department of Jammu and Kashmir government may ban sale of loose cigarettes, ghutka and other tobacco products in the state.
Reliable Sources told Cross Town News that "The Government of Jammu and Kashmir may impose ban on the sale of loose cigarettes, Ghutka and loose tobacco in the state of Jammu and Kashmir .”
Sources told that the decision may be taken under section seven of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003.
Sources told Cross Town News that the move is aimed at discouraging the use of cigarettes and tobacco.
