SRINAGAR, Feb 21: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G. A. Mir has urged upon the State government to ensure proper arrangements on the upcoming festival of Maha Shivratri on Friday.
Mir said that the festival is unique and important as it is celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety.
Mir said that the Government must ensure the availability of essential commodities like almonds, fishes, vegetables, etc at all migrant camps both in Jammu and Kashmir and other facilities that are essentially required by our Pandit brethren for the observance of this occasion.
He added that the Maha-Shivrati replicates cultural diversity, age-old tradition of amity, harmony, brotherhood and strengthens the bond of togetherness among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
