High Court Seeks Personal Appearance Of Comm/Secy, If Fails To File Compliance

Jammu, March 20: In CPSW No. 217/2012 titled Mohan Lal V/s Rakesh Gupta and othersafter hearing HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE ORDERED as:-
It has been brought to the notice of this Court that an application has been preferred by the Principal Secretary to Government, Forest, Ecology & Environment Department seeking extension of time for filing compliance report in the matter in terms of order dated 21.02.2023.
Although, the said application is not on record but the copy of the same has been provided to this Court that is taken on record. For the reasons stated in the application, coupled with the submission made at the bar, the same is allowed.
The time for filing the compliance report in accordance with the order dated 21.02.2023 is extended by two weeks, and the respondents are further directed to pass a speaking order in accordance with the judgment passed by this Court and place it along with compliance report by or before the next date of hearing.
However, it is made clear that in case the needful is not done within the aforesaid period, respondent No. 1 (Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, J&K) shall appear in person on the next date of hearing.
