SAMBA, JANUARY 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma conducted comprehensive review of ongoing developmental projects and the estimation procedures for upcoming initiatives at meeting here today.

 Among the key attendees were Kasturi Lal, Chief Planning Officer (CPO), along with several other District and Sectoral Officers.

Initiating an in-depth examination, the Deputy Commissioner scrutinized funds released and expenditures incurred across sectors like R&B, PHE, Education, Health, RDD, Agriculture & allied sectors, Social Welfare, Labour, Employment, PMGSY, NRLM, ICDS, and more.

Progress on works under DDC, BDC, and PRI grants was meticulously discussed. Following the sector-wise review, the DC issued directives to officers to ensure 100 percent expenditure within the set timeline by expediting the pace of works scheduled for completion in the current financial year.

The Officers were tasked with fostering collaboration among line departments to achieve development goals within the limited working season.

The DC instructed SDMs to closely monitor and initiate a Door-to-Door campaign to extend benefits of centrally sponsored schemes like PMAY, PMKVY, etc to all eligible persons before end of the deadline.

Emphasizing the urgency for the estimation process, the DDC underscored the objective of ensuring that all works undergo necessary procedures of approval, tendering, and allocation.

The DDC stressed the vital need for greater dedication and sensitivity among officers from all line departments, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every household.

The importance of focused attention towards deliverables implemented during the current fiscal year was also highlighted.
