New Delhi, Jan 11: The Central Bureau of Investigation has apprehended a Head Constable of Traffic Police, Central Range, Delhi while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the Complainant.
A case was registered against the Head Constable of Traffic Police, Central Range, Delhi on a complaint. It was alleged that the Complainant hired 05 vehicles for lifting construction garbage/malba.
It was further alleged that Complainant’s vehicles were stopped by the accused and demanded illegal gratification of Rs.5,000/- from him on monthly basis for allowing the vehicles to run.
On negotiation, the accused agreed to accept initial bribe of Rs.4,000/- per month from the Complainant.
CBI laid a trap and the accused was apprehended while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.4,000/- from the Complainant.
Searches were conducted at the premises of accused.
