High Court seeks personal appearance of  Pr Secretary, Jal Shakti, if fails to file compliance

Jammu, Dec 22: In CPOWP No. 120/2018 titled Ranjit Singh Vs M. Raju Pr. Commissioner Secy. Dept. PHE Irrigation and others  after hearing HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJNESH OSWAL, JUDGE ORDERED as:-

1. Mr. Amit Gupta, learned AAG appearing on behalf of the respondents has produced a copy of the compliance report filed by the respondents and the communication dated 09.12.2023 addressed by the Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (I&FC) Department Jammu to Director Finance, Jal Shakti Department, Civil Secretariat Jammu.

The same are taken on record.

2. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, four weeks time is granted to the respondents to comply with the judgment passed by the writ court in its letter and spirit and to ensure payment of amount.

3. It is made clear that in the event the order, non compliance of which has been reported to this Court, is not complied with the respondents by or before the next date of hearing, the Principal Commissioner/Secretary Department of PHE Irrigation and Flood Control, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar/Jammu shall remain present in person before the Court on the next date of hearing and no further opportunity shall be granted to the respondents for compliance of the order.

4. List on 09.02.2024.
