New Delhi, Nov 13: The Ministry of Home Affair has requested the Central Bureau of Investigation to launch a probe against Indian Administrative Services officer Hemant Kumar for alleged irregularities in land acquisition compensation in Delhi.
Kumar has been transferred to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The MHA's decision comes after a report from the Directorate of Vigilance of the Delhi government highlighted Kumar's "gross blunder" in increasing the compensation amount.
The MHA has asked the CBI to conduct an investigation and obtain further details from the Delhi Government.
