JAMMU, Jan 18: The longest tunnel in India connecting Chenani and Nashri was demanded to be thrown open for traffic today.
The MLAs demands Tunnel to be thrown open for traffic as the Srinagar-Jammu highway is closed owing to slippery road conditions near Patnitop,
Ruling part MLAs and Opposition MLAs earlier had demanded for opening the Chenani Tunnel keeping harsh conditions in mind.
This will reduce the travelling distance by around 30 kms.
