Jammu, Oct 8: National Conference and Congress alliance secured absolute majority in the 5th general elections of LAHDC on Sunday.
NC emerged the single largest party securing 12 seats while Congress got 10 seats.
So far the result of 26 seats announced, out of the 30 member council, where 4 are nominated.
Bharatiya Janata Party won two seats while two independent candidates also declared victorious in the elections.
