JAMMU, Sep 05: The program of inauguration of development works worth lakhs of rupees by Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria is continuing in Ward 56 Gangyal and Ekta Vihar of RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. Adding development works, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria dedicated the construction work of newly constructed lane and drains in Ekta Vihar.
This development work was done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Ekta Vihar Mohalla Committee thanked Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria for getting this work done on priority.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that this was a long pending demand of the local residents and this demand has been fulfilled. He said that a delegation from this area had contacted that the lane and drains of the area were in a dilapidated condition and this should be resolved soon. Taking cognizance of the delegation, immediate instructions were given to the officials to carry out development in the area and today the construction work of land and drains was done.
The Deputy Mayor said that people in Ekta Vihar had to face a lot of difficulties due to the lack of concrete roads. Due to which women, old people and children used to fall and get injured and there was a problem of waterlogging in the surrounding areas. Now completing the construction work in the context of development will have a positive impact on people's lives and they too will be able to live in their developed areas like other areas, he added. Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the government is continuously working under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to provide basic facilities to the common man and to improve the standard of living. He said that development works are continuing in Jammu city and continuous steps are being taken by the government in the interest of the public. The Deputy Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to provide better infrastructure and other basic amenities to the people of Jammu city. The people of the area assured full support to the BJP in the upcoming elections.
On this occasion Mandal President Ranjit Singh, Pawan Chib, Jugal Kishore, Krishna Kumar, Rakesh Sangral, Om Nath, Nikish Bhasin, Manjit Singh, Rajinder Singh (Popy), Ajmer Chib, Govinder Singh, Ashok Kumar, Captain Roop Singh, Harvinder Singh , Raghu Singh was also present.
