J&K: Director Employment inaugurates a one-day Job Fair

PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 27: A day-long Job fair was today organised by District Employment & Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Pulwama for Job seekers from the District which witnessed participation from reputed private employers from different sectors.

The event was attended by Director Employment, J&K, Nisar Ahmad Wani as Chief Guest.

On the occasion, Director Employment, J&K interacted with the jobseekers and job providers and expressed satisfaction and said that job fairs will be a regular feature of the Employment Department and more such fairs will be organized in the district in coming days.

Assistant Director, DE&CC Pulwama, Hafsa Qayoom impressed the employers and the job seekers to register on the Employment Portal of Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir www.jakemp.nic.in.

Around 29 employers from different sectors participated in the event which included companies like TCI Max, Olive Group, Premium Ply, Dolphin International School, Super Fresh Agri Products Lassipora, Lyceum International School, Mohammadia Nursing Home, AlnoorCold Store, Alpine Agro, Hotel Grand Lord Pahalgam, Himaliyan Motors, K.Y Motors  and others.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from job seekers. More than 200unemployed youth/job seekers from the district participated in the event. The Skill Development institutions like Care Educational and Welfare Society were also present in the event to provide skill development linkages to aspiring youth.

Around 176 youth with varied skill sets were shortlisted by various companies for different jobs and more than 136 candidates registered themselves on the Employment Portal i.e., www.jakemp.nic.in on the spot.

The unemployed youth from district Pulwama expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre, Pulwama for organizing this job fair and bringing employers to their doorsteps.
