RAMBAN, Sep 19-The Rural sports competition held under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) by the department of Youth Service and Sports in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball , Athletics and Wrestling concluded at Ramban and Ramsoo.
On the concluding day of the competition, the players of panchayat Dhalwas out played the Rural teams with their superb performance by clinching the title of Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Wrestling and Athletics here at District Police Line ground Ramban.
In Volley ball Panvhayat Kanga defeated the rival panchyat Chaderkote in the final match.
At Ramsoo the player of remotest panchyats Pogal, Nachlana and Kharwan of hilly area participated in the Block level competition here at Police ground with enthusiasm.
Panchyat Nachlana claimed the twin titles in Volley ball and Kho-Kho where as panchayt Ukhral players out played panchyat Ramsoo for the Kabbadi titles.
At the closing ceremony, the SDM Ramsoo Ravi Thakur as chief guest distributed, medals, trophies and certificates among the winning teams and players, similarly at Ramban DPL ground Dy SP DAR Tufail Mir distributed prizes among the winners.
