DEHRADUN: Arun Malhotra , Former Indian Footballer from J&K and associated with ONGC opened Under-16 school boys football tournament today at Nirmal Ashram Deepmala Pagarini Public School (NDS) Rishikesh, Uttrakhand. Around 16 teams are participating acroos state and the tournament is on knockout basis.
In today’s inaugural match, NDS School won their match against Maa Anandmayee Memorial School (MAMS) Haridwar by 2-0. NDS School is organizing this tournament and all the matches will be played here.
Arun encouraged the young players and guide them for futher stepup in professional arena & requested J&K govt to start football activities at J&K, which has stopped since long .
Trustee Sant Jodh Singh Ji Maharaj along with Principal of NDS Smt Lalita Krishnaswamy school with other principals and sports staff were also present.
