REASI, JANUARY 04: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar, today convened a meeting to review the status of ongoing works being executed by railway authorities in the district.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed the progress of restoration of damaged water sources, roads, public properties& forest, issues pertaining to muck disposal, local employment and facilities being provided to the labourers.
He asked the Railway authorities to submit a report regarding employment avenues generated for locals in the ongoing projects
A committee to be headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi comprising Tehsildar Reasi, Divisional Forest Officer Reasi was also constituted which would submit status with regard to violations regarding muck disposal, the DC informed.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Reasi was directed to monitor and submit a report regarding facilities provided to skilled and un-skilled labourers involved in these projects.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram, ACR, Abdul Sattar, Tehsildar HQ(A) to DC Reasi,. Rajesh Baru and all Executive Engineers PWD (R&B) & PMGSY Reasi besides officers of railway authorities were present in the meeting.
Later, the representatives of Patel Engineering Company executing construction work at tunnel T2 handed over a cheque worth Rupees one lakh to the District Red Cross Society Reasi.
