SRINAGAR, Jan 01: Officials of Legal Metrology Department today conducted a surprise inspection of a gas agency in Ganderbal following complaints that the LPG dealer was not providing home delivery to some areas in the district.
During the inspection, Field Executives of the Department under the supervision of Deputy Controller (Consumer Protection) Kashmir and Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Ganderbal found that the dealer was neither maintaining records nor providing home delivery of LPG cylinders.
The team also inspected a petrol pump station which was dispensing reduced/less quantities to customers.
LMD levied penalties on the erring dealers and a penal sum of Rs 7000 was collected from the defaulters.
