Doda: Rehmat Cricket Club Wins Night Cricket

DODA, JULY 04: Rehmat Cricket Club Doda has lifted the trophy by winning the final match of 4th Edition of Night Cosco T-10 cricket tournament hosted by Chenab Cultural and Sports Club (CC&SC) which continued for about one month here at sports stadium Doda from June 5, 2022.

In all, 64 teams from different parts of Jammu division played in the Tournament. The tournament ended the other day and the final match was played between Rehmat Cricket Club Doda and Green Shaheen Doda.

After winning the toss, Green Shaheen decided to bowl first. In the first inning, RCC scored 102 runs in 10 Overs with the highest score of 45 runs by   Sunny Singh.   From Green Shaheen side, Amir Wani was the leading wicket taker with 3 crucial wickets. Chasing the target, Green Shaheen lost early wickets and lost the match by the margin of 2 runs.

The tournament was organised to attract the youth towards sports and other such activities, said Umar Khora, one of the organisers, while briefing about the tournament.

District Development Commissioner, Vikas Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom and a large number of sports lovers witnessed the final match.

The DDC appreciated the organisers for making extraordinary arrangements and hailed their efforts for providing local and outside cricketers an opportunity to showcase their talent. He asserted that sports activities are crucial for overall development of personality. He advised the youth to channelize their energy towards positive direction and participate in the sports activities to stay healthy, fit and prosperous.
