JAMMU, May 11: Today on May 11th, 2022, the JKAS Probationary Officers Training Course – (Phase I) – Batch-2020 commenced here at J&K IMPARD Main Camps, M. A. Road, Srinagar.

Shri Saurabh Bhagat, IAS, Director General, JKIMPARD, welcomed the Probationary Officers to a seven and a half months intensive training programme.

In view of the outbreak of Covid-19, the Officer Trainees, who were undergoing Induction Training at JKIMPARD, were deputed in March 2020 for Covid-control duty in various districts of the UT of J&K. It was the time when the first wave of Covid-19 Pandemic spread in the country.      Now the remaining portion of Phase-1 Training for JKAS Probationary Officers has begun at JKIMPARD, Srinagar. It would be completed in seven and a half months and will cover a wide array of training modules, such as: Law and   Revenue Administration; Good Governance Initiatives; Civil Services Rules; Modern Management Tools; Infrastructure Development and Public Private Partnership: Health and Education; Engineering Skills; Project Management; Office Management; Elections, Decentralization and Rural Development; etc.

The JKAS Officer Trainees would be afforded the opportunity to interact with senior IAS and JKAS Officers, and with resource persons from Judiciary and other Services. This will help them obtain knowledge and to learn from experience of such senior Government functionaries.

In addition, the JKAS Officer Trainees would be taken on Field Visits, UT Darshan, and Visits to various Institutions of the country to orient them towards a more practical approach to work.
