Rakesh Calls On CM Mehbooba;demands Parking Space At Raghunath Bazaar & Compensation To Transporters

Rakesh Gupta today called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister Madam Mehbooba Mufti to thank the Government for announcing Amnesty in GST and also raised new demands in addition to the other issues raised time and again before in a Memorandum as below:
"Madam,
First of all the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu would like to thank your goodselves and the government, Finance Department in particular for the great relief to the businessman through the Amnesty announced in GST. It is a great step towards ending unnecessary harassment of honest business people as most of the recovery issues were pending either in the Hon’ble court or the Appeal Department of the Finance Department for settlement.
With utmost respect the Chamber of Commerce & Industry would like to submit as below in addition to various pending demands already submitted to your goodselves, we are listing below some burning issue that need your urgent intervention and necessary directions
Passenger Tax
We would like to bring to your notice that the demand for Amnesty to the transporters on Passenger Tax is still pending It may not be out of place to mention that the conditions in which the transporters are working as every time there is unrest & turmoil or border firing , this sector gets hit on the very first day. We would request your goodselves to pass on necessary directions to the Finance Ministry and other concerned to issue necessary SROs announcing Amnesty for Passenger Tax.
Compensation to Transporters
We would like to submit that it is known to one and all that the Transport Sector that include Taxis, Buses , Trucks etc has been hit badly by the unrest in the valley for the last many months. It is our earnest request to your goodselves to compensation to Transport Sector through whatever provisions the government deems fit.
Laws for Physically Challenged
We would like to request to your goodselves please to get necessary amendments in the Disability Act of the State and bring it at par with the Disability Act of Government of India which would be great steps towards helping suffering humanity
Parking Space at Residency Road Jammu
We would like to bring to your kind notice that Parking of Vehicles has become almost impossible at Residency Road that houses thousands of Commercial establishments including Hotels and also is the Gateway to the VVIPs area i.e. Wazarat Road. In this context we would like to bring to your notice that there is a huge chunk of land lying vacant are adjoining Hotel Premier which has not been utilized because of litigations between different department and some people. We would request you to pass on necessary direction to the concerned departments to acquire this land for the purpose of constructing a multi-storey parking which would be a big relief to the residents and commercial establishments in that area & also from security point of view.
