JAMMU, Nov 22: Anti Narcotics Task Force J&K has conducted raids at various parts of Delhi and Ghaziabad and arrested two drug dealers. Both the arrested persons were wanted in various cases of ANTF and were the main distributors and suppliers of banned Pharmaceutical drugs to J and K. They were operating from Delhi and its adjoining areas including Ghaziabad.
Two teams of ANTF were constituted which were led by Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and Inspector Ankush Chibunder close supervision of DySP Arun Jamwal. These teams conducted series of raids in Delhi and Ghaziabadareas and with the help of Delhi and Ghaziabad Police, were able to arrest two most wanted Drug dealers. Both have been identified as Ajay Gupta @Bunty S/o GulabChand Gupta R/O Govindpuram, Ghaziabad and ShirshakSharma @ Honey S/o Hari Krishen Sharma r/o NaveenShahdara, Delhi and both have been arrested in case FIR No 45/2020 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act P/S ANTF Jammu. They used to stock and Store banned Pharmaceutical drugs in Godowns and later used to supply these drugs to various parts including J and K UT.
Pharmaceutical drugs like Codeine Phosphate, SpasmoProxyvon, Tremadol are fast replacing traditional drugs like Heroin, Cocaine etc and their abuse has seen a rising trend amongst the innocent youths. With the arrest of these two main suppliers and Distributors, ANTF has been able to break the main supply network of these kinds of Drugs to J and K UT.
ANTF has appealed general public particularly to youth to keep away from any kind of abuse of such kind of drugs and have further appealed general public to share any kind of information regarding drug related activities with ANTF so that strict legal actions are taken against such drug dealers.
