Jobs, lands of J&K offered to outside people : Congress


Jammu, Nov. 16 : President JKPCC Shri G.A. Mir has lashed out at BJP and Modi Govt. for fleecing the common man through tax terrorism and playing the politics of hatred in the society which is dangerous for the pluralistic society.

Leading a protest dharna and addressing a large gathering of people as part of the ongoing “Jan Jagran Abhiyan” against the BJP Gov. at Reasi today PCC President said that huge assets and infrastructure created by previous Governments have been put on sale by the Modi Govt. besides making the life of common people miserable through heavy taxes.

He said that the wrong economic policies of Modi Govt. have derailed the robust economy of the country handed over to Modi Govt. by the previous UPA Govt. leading to unprecedented hike and large scale unemployment in the Country. The people are facing the brunt of the huge taxes as the Modi Govt. is passing on the burden to the common people.

Mir said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of their identity status and rights due to arbitrary decision of downgrading of historic Dogra State for which people should punish BJP through their power of ballot. The jobs, lands and resources of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been offered to outside people at the cost of locals and youth who are without jobs and create opportunities in this border region of the country facing hostile neighbor and long spell of militancy. He said that BJP has nothing to offer to the people of Jammu and Kashmir except divert their attention through their divisive & diversionary mode of politics and asked the people to reject BJP and the opportunistic forces dancing to the tune of BJP for the sake of individual favour or lust of power.

 

The rally was organized by DCC Reasi led by Shri Rajesh Sadhotra and attended by Former Minister &  Vice President JKPCC Shri Raman Bhalla Former MLA Th. Balwan Singh, Sewa Dal President  Shri Vijay Sharma Babbi, OBC Department Chairmen Suresh  Dogra, SC Dept. Chairman  Karan Bhagat Neha Bhagat, Ex-President DCC Reasi Th. Pritam Singh, Munshi Ram Salalia, Adv. Vijay Sharma , Yash Sharma, Madan Dogra, Adv. Ajay salalia, Raj Kumar Verma, Master Israil Ahmed, Adv. Ajaz Ahmed, Ragav Puri and others.

 

Speaking on the occasion Shri Raman Bhalla  expressed serious concern over the various issues especially the joblessness and inflation and said Congress Party won’t compromise on people problems, it will continue fight against the Centre’s wrong policies towards the people at all levels He said that the present BJP Govt. led by Shri Narinder Modi has been systematically destroying the democratic institutions and the culture in  the country and spreading hatred besides destroying economy and harming the pluralistic  harmony.  He asked the people  to oppose the wrong policies  of the BJP and force the Govt. through democratic means to shun its anti-people anti-poor and anti-youth policies.

 

 

 He said that the  BJP government has been “running the public harassment campaign” for so long, and now the Congress party has started the ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ to demand justice for the people of the country. The people of the country are having a severe and miserable way of life due to policies of the PM Modi led government. In the last two years, we are witnessing a terrible price rise of petrol, diesel and edible oil. the economy has hit the lowest high while lakhs of people became jobless.

 

Bhalla said  that the Congress party had been undertaking multiple campaigns in J&K but the Central government was silent on the crisis of inflation. The Congress party has undertaken several campaigns, but the Centre is still in "deep slumber", he said. "The Congress party has again decided to wake the Modi government up from its slumber and launch a public awareness campaign against the rising inflation from November 14 to 29,".

 

The Jan Jagran Abhiyan will focus on these woes of people and During the course of the ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’, Congress party workers will reach out to the maximum number of people across J&K to strengthen the people's voice against the unprecedented price rise in cooking gas, diesel, petrol, cooking oil, pulses and other essential commodities, added Bhalla. 

 

 

Th Balwan Singh said that arbitrary decision of August 5, 2019 disbanding and downgrading the state was against the wishes of all people and needs to reviewed to honour the sentiments of the people and settle the unrest amongst entire population . The disbanding and downgrading of the Dogra State has led to snatching away our identity and dignity and insult to Dogras. He said that the Dogras are deeply hurt by this action and are seeking restoration of statehood status. The centre should not test the patience of patriotic Dogras and others and restore the statehood status immediately  and should not put the plea of doing it at appropriate time to delay the same.  He demanded immediate restoration of statehood and a democratically elected government in Jammu and Kashmir

DCC President Reasi Mr. Rajesh Sadhotra in his address highlighted the people’s problems. He said that the common man is suffering a lot under BP regime as every section has realized that BJP’s policies are for the rich and capitalists, while poor suffers. Due to pro-capitalist policies of BJP, the rich are becoming richest on the cost of poor people.
