NEW DELHI, Nov 12: Finance Mnister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said that pople of India are showing patience to clean the black money from the system.
Jaitley said " Other than normal transactions, there is a big rush to exchange notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000."
Jaitley also lauds bank employees for handling working for such long hours from early morning to night, without taking offs.
Jaitley said "25% of the total banking operations in India are by SBI and its organizations.Around 58 lakh people exchanged notes at SBI till 12:15 today.Rs 54,370 crores monitory transactions in the SBI; Rs 47,868 crores have been deposited in SBI."
Jaitley said " The ATMs have not been re-calibrated for new Rs. 2000 currency note; the process is on."
