JAMMU, Nov 08: A meeting of Committee on Public Undertakings of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA, Satpaul Sharma here today.
The Committee discussed and examined the (CAG) relating to Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
Legislators, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, Shah Mohammad Tantray, Naresh Kumar Gupta and Vibodh Gupta attended the meeting and gave suggestions to bring improvement in the functioning of Bank.
Accountant General, Mr. H. Abbas briefed the Committee about the audit report.
Executive President and Vice President, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd apprised the Committee about the steps taken by the Bank regarding the observations made by CAG Report and assured the Committee that the Organization will further expedite the process for recovering the loans.
The Committee decided to examine the same paragraphs in its next meeting to be convened soon.
Senior officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
