
JAMMU, NOVEMBER 07: Daljit Singh Chib, Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans today interacted with progressive farmers and board members and discussed in detail several issues for further streamlining the functioning of the board.
The meeting was attended by D.P. Khajuria, Satpal Charak, Subash Dargotra S. Tajinder Singh, Dev Raj Chowdhary, Dewan Khajuria, Rajesh Bittu, Dunda Singh, Satish Bharti, Rajinder Prashad, Ankus Choudhary, Surinder Singh, Prakesh Singh Jamwal, K.D. Sharma, Angreez Singh and other farmers from Kathua and Samba districts.
The Vice Chairman said that the objective of the Kissan Board is to reach out to the farmers at grass root level so that their issues are looked into for an early redressal. He apprised the farmers about the Kisan Melas which were conducted recently in Poonch, Leh and Kargil and informed that Board is going to organize such melas and awareness camps in other places of the State in collaboration with the Agriculture and Allied departments. He said that main thrust of the Board is to make the farmers aware about the State and Centre schemes and latest techniques.
