Govt committed for infra development on modern lines in J&K: Veeri       


  

ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 01: Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri, today said that the Government is committed for the development of infrastructure on modern lines across the State.  

The Minister was speaking at a foundation stone laying ceremony of VVIP Guest house at Anantnag. The Guest house shall comprise 4 suites to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.25 crore. 

Minister of State for Haj & Auqaf, Farooq Ahmad Andrabi,  Minister of State for Forest, Ecology, Environment, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, legislators Aijaz Ahmed Mir, Abdul Majeed Paddar,Abdul Rahim Rather and Sofi Yousuf, besides, DDC Anantnag, Chief Engineer R&B and other concerned officers were also present on the ocassion.    

On the occasion, Mr. Veeri direted the concerned executing agency to complete the project by March end. He also sought cooperation of the people in bringing the state on the path of development. He discussed the progress of construction on the Conference-cum-Meeting hall at Dak Bunglow and directed the concerned to complete the work by ending November.

 The Minister also took appraisal of the other ongoing works and called upon the concerned officers to put in their best efforts to achieve the targets well in time. 

Mr. Veeri asked the officers to remain pro-active in taking the benefits of development to the grass root level.
