SRINAGAR, Oct 13: Indian Railways proposes to first introduce coaches with glass tops on trains traveling through Kashmir in J&K and Araku Valley in Vishakapatnam, reports said on Thursday.
Reports said that these coaches are being put together by Integral Coach Factory at Chennai along with IRCTC and Research Design and Standards Organization. Each coach is being built at a cost of INR 4 crores and the first such coach is set to roll out later this month.
The first such coach with a glass top will be tagged onto a regular train in the Kashmir valley while the two other coaches will be attached to trains travelling through the Araku Valley in Vishakapatnam, reports said.
