Madoon village to be developed as tourist spot: DC Samba

          SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 20 - Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today visited Madoon (Treli) and discussed proposed development plan for the village.

          The Village Treli is visited by large number of tourists from state and rest of the country during Amavasya, Sankranti, Poornmasi and other religious occasions and is located near the International Border.

          The locals put forth their demands like renovation of bathing ghats and landscaping of surrounding areas.

          The DC called for avoiding haphazard constructions and preservation of green cover around the area. She asked the locals to revive the traditional Baisakhi fair which was earlier being organised in the village.

          The DC also directed Rural Development Department to submit proposal for developing playground in the village which can also be used for hosting Dangal and other events. She directed various departments to submit proposals for developing and bringing the area on tourist map of the state.

          The DC was accompanied by SDM Ghagwal Narayan Dutt Sharma and other sectoral officers of various departments.
