J&K Grameen Bank organized various financial literacy camps on eve of International Literacy Day 


Sruinsar, Sep 8: J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of Sh. RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized financial literacy cum awareness programme on the eve of International Literacy Day in GHSS, Sruinsar under the branch office Sruinsar.

Neelam Sacchar, Principal, GHSS was the chief guest on the occasion appreciated the bank’s initiative of opening minor accounts and emphasized on importance of banking in the present era of Direct Benefit Transfer.

DDM NABARD, Surinder Singh, Guest of honour appreciated the tremendous efforts of the bank towards financial literacy.

Speaking on the occasion R.S Billawaria Area Manager Jammu, J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.

Vipan Gupta, Manager MF&FI occasion spoke at length about the various schemes of the bank particularly education loans. He also apprised the gathering that JKGB has lowest interest rates and people should take maximum benefit out of it.

The prizes were distributed to the meritorious students of the school. Branch Head Sruinsar, Mukesh Sagotra conducted the proceding of function and also presented the vote of thanks.

Representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme.

Besides huge gathering Panchs, Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp.

Similar programme was also conducted at GHSS Nagriparole & GHSS Chingus.
