After 370, Modi will accomplish the dream of retrieving PoJK: Vibodh

Jammu, Feb 21: On the 26th anniversary of the Parliament's resolution to liberate Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), Mirpur colony Association Pathankot under the banner of PoJK Vistaphit Seva Samiti  organised a programme to further strengthen the resolve of freeing the PoJK. The Samiti has been established to educate PoJK displaced persons about the new domicile laws and better future promised to them under these laws.

Addressing the gathering member PoJK VSS (BJP J&K general secretary) Vibodh Gupta said that India stands committed to retrieve Pakistan occupied Jammu & Kashmir and further said that domicile certificate is not just a piece of paper, but a certificate that restores the honour and rights of lakhs of people who were victimized for past many decades. He was accompanied by member PoJK VSS and Chairman SoS International Rajiv Chuni, member PoJK VSS and convenor BJP refugee cell Ashok Khajuria and President Mirpur Colony Association Rakesh Kumar Pammy.

Referring to the resolution of Parliament passed on February 1994 wherein it was unanimously accepted by all parties that Pakistan has to vacate the areas of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir(PoJK), Vibodh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took historic decisions like abrogation of Article 370 and holding of DDC elections which were earlier considered impossible. Similarly, this task of retrieving PoJK will also be accomplished by the Modi government.

Vibodh said that the new domicile rule in the UT of J&K by the BJP-led central government has solved the 73-year-old human rights issue of persons displaced from Pakistan. Successive regimes of Congress government in the past did nothing and kept on betraying these displaced people denying them even the basic human rights, he added.

Vibodh further enlightened the gathering on how to apply for domicile certificate and motivated them to get domiciles in order to avail their democratic rights. He strongly asserted that the domicile certificate has ended the misfortune of discrimination against displaced PoJK persons who had been the integral part of J&K but were deprived of legitimate citizenship rights.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Chuni expressed gratitude towards central government for extending domicile certificate to PoJK displaced persons settled in various parts of country. He said that it has solve the 73-year-old human rights issue of displaced persons from Pakistan and has further strengthened the movement of liberating PoJK. He maintained that the enthusiasm for getting domicile rights is very palpable among the gathering and everyone is willing to return to their native places.

“Except betrayals by successive governments at the Centre as well as in the erstwhile J&K UT, nothing was done to solve our issues but in the last seven years under the BJP led central government all the genuine demands of PoJK displaced persons were addressed”, Rajiv asserted .

Ashok Khajuria also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the developments made by Modi government to uplift and restore the dignity of PoJK displaced persons. He said that BJP led central government is committed to free PoJK from the clutches of Pakistan and soon this task will be accomplished. President Mirpur Colony Association Rakesh Kumar Pammy lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for positively responding to the genuine demands of PoJK displaced persons living in different parts of the country.
