SRINAGAR, Jan 13: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed restoration of essential services in Kashmir and conducted whirlwind tour of Srinagar City.
LG took firsthand appraisal of response mechanism put in place for snow clearance and other restoration works.
LG assessed situation arisen due to heavy snowfall; issued directions to ensure swift completion of snow-clearance,dewatering of all lanes & by-lanes; asked officers to remain at beck & call of the people and ensure un-interrupted supply of essentials & healthcare facilities.
LG visited Lal Chowk, Sonwar, Dalgate, Nishat, Hazratbal, Rainawari, Dastageer Sahib, Monawarabaad & other areas of Srinagar City; interacted with Shikara walas; enquired about present tourism scenario, assured early redressal of their concerning issues.
