
JAMMU, Aug 13: Full dress rehearsals for the 70th Independence Day celebration were held today at all district headquarters of Jammu province.
The respective deputy commissioners hoisted the national flag and took the salute at the march past.
In winter capital Jammu an impressive full dress rehearsal was held in Mini-Sports stadium, Parade ground where deputy commissioner, Simrendeep Singh inspected the parade and hoisted the national flag.
A large number of people witnessed the impressive march past by the contingents of Army, J&K Police, CRPF, school children which was followed by a colourful cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, folk dance and music.
At Ramban the full dress rehearsal was at District Police Line Chandrog, where District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz hoisted the National Flag which was followed by an impressive march past by 23 contingents including Military band, CRPF,IRP,JKP, FPF,NCC squads and students. Cultural programme featuring patriotic, folk and other cultural item.
Similarly final full dress rehearsal was organised at Doda at the local Sports Stadium under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Mr. Bhupinder Kumar and SSP Doda Zahid Nassem Manhas.
The Full dress rehearsal was also held in historical Chougan ground of Kishtwar, where Deputy Commssioner Mr. G.N Balwan took salute at the march past presented by contingents of J&K Police, IRP,5th Bn, CRPF 76 Bn, NCC, FPF and school children.
SSP Kishtwar Mr Sandeep Wazir besides other senior officers of District Administration were present on the occasion.
At Samba, full dress rehearsal was held at Youth Service and Sports Stadium Arazi.
The contingents from Ex-Serviceman, J&K Police, NCC boys and students from different government as well as private educational institutions presented the march past. The full dress rehearsal was supervised by District Development commissioner Sheetal Nanda.
Likewise full dress Rehearsal was held at Sports stadium, Kathua where District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar unfurled the National flag and took the salute at an impressive march past.
At Reasi the the full dress rehearsal was held under the supervision of District Development commissioner Ravinder Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sujit Kumar.
The function commenced with the unfurling of national flag by the DC followed an impressive march past by contingents of Forest Protection Force, NCC, IRP, J&K Police, STC Talwara, NCC and students of various educational institutions.
In Udhampur, the Full dress rehearsal was held at Government Degree College.
The rehearsal started with Flag hoisting by Deputy Commissioner, Niraj Kumar followed by the inspection of the parade. Around 41 contingents of CRPF, Police, Forest Protection Force, NCC, Home Guards and Educational Institutions participated in the march past.
In Rajouri, Deputy Commissioner Shabif Ahmed Bhat took salute at the march past comprising the contingent of JKP CRPF JKFPF NCC and school children of various educational institutes.
SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mumtaz Choudhary were also present on the occasion.
Poonch administration organised the full dress at sports stadium amid tight security arrangements. The District development commissioner Poonch Mohammad Harun Malik hoisted the tricolor and inspected the march past contingents comprising of Jammu & Kashmir police , J&K Armed police, CRPF, Army, home guard , National cadet corps ‘NCC, and contingents from different educational institutions .
