REASI, JULY 20: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting to discuss arrangements for Independence day celebrations here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sujit Kumar, Additional District Development Commissioner Reasi, Bhawani Singh Rakwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Abdul Sattar, CPO H.L. Sharma, officers of PWD, R&B, PHE, PDD, Chief Education Officer Reasi, Vinod Kumar Soni, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Dr. S. S. Chib, ARTO Diksha Bamba, District Social Welfare Officer Dr. Pritam Lal Thapa, EO Municipality Rattan Lal, Officers of various Departments and senior Officers of CRPF Police and Army attended the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that the main function will be held at General Zorawar Singh Stadium Reasi. The function will start with the unfurling of tricolor which will be followed by March past and cultural programmes.
Threadbare discussions were held on security, sitting arrangements, barricading, traffic arrangements, drinking water and power supply, sanitations, first-aid, PAS, deployment of buses, fire tenders etc.
DDC stressed upon the Officers of the various Departments to work in close coordination so that all arrangements are put in place on time for the national event.
