JAMMU, JULY 20: Speaker J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today visited sector B of Sainik colony to take stock of grievances of the residents whose houses have been affected due to logging of rain water in the area.
The locals informed the Speaker that this is a frequent problem being faced by the people during rainy season in absence of a proper drainage system in the area.
The Speaker instructed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps for removal of blockade in the nallah and ensure proper maintenance of drainage system so that the people of the area may not face any inconvenience during ongoing rainy season.
SDM South Jammu, Sonu Pargal, Executive Engineer Urban Environmental Engineering Department Rajan Sharma, Executive Engineer JMC Joginder besides senior officers of various departments accompanied the Speaker.
