Srinagar, June 30: The Anti-Corruption Bureau Srinagar has registered a formal case against sitting District Development Council Member and his associate for allegedly demanding a bribe of ₹5 lakh in exchange for arranging official NOCs for a local school.
ACB, Srinagar has registered a case FIR No. 12/2025 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended 2018), section 61(2) BNS against a sitting District Development Council Member Mohammad Shaban Chopan and his Tout Ghulam Mohammad Khathana for demanding illegal gratification in lieu of arranging official clearances.
The allegations were verified by ACB and which established the charges against DDC Member.
As per details emerging , DDC Member has been arrested.
