JAMMU: In the Fight against COVID-19, J&K Grameen Bank Officer's Association in the presence of D.K Bali, General Manager J&K Grameen Bank & D.D. Gupta, Chief AI & V Department handed over a cheque amounting to Rs. 51.00 lakhs (Rupees fifty one lakhs) on behalf of all the employees of J&K Grameen Bank to Chairman, Janak Raj Angural for donation to J&K Relief Fund.
J&K Grameen Bank's Employees under chairmanship of Chairman had decided to donate three days salary to J&K Relief Fund to support the Government of J&K to fight against COVID-19. The amount has been credited to the account of J&K relief Fund through RTGS facility.
Janak Raj Angural, Chairman JKGB spoke on the occasion that "It is a matter of pride for our bank that all our Employees voluntarily came forward to pledge their three days Salary to the J&K relief Fund. We will keep continuing our support to the government in all its endeavours to address the challenges of this Pandemic."
He further added that At this time of crisis, the entire staff of JKGB is committed to provide the best essential banking services to its customers and are also taking all the precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19.
He addressed the members of JKGBOA that the Bank is ready to deal with the emerging situation and is taking proactive measures to sensitise the customers about government schemes and relief packages.
Bank is providing the overdraft facility to the Jan Dhan Account holders and also has implemented the RBI guidelines regarding a three month long moratorium on the payment of instalments of term loans.
Rash Pal Choudhary, General Secretary JKGBOA on behalf of JKGBOA expressed his thanks to the management for being proactive and supportive to all the staff members at this time of crisis.
He added that even in this odd hour, the management has provided all the necessary facilities in the Branches for the safety of staff members and customers as well.
