DySP Booked Under Unlawful Activities Act: To Be Treated Like Militants: IGP Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 12: Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, today said that arrested Deputy Superintendent of Police, Davinder Singh, was booked under Unlawful Activities Act and will be treated like militants for his heinous crime.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police  was arrested along with two wanted Hizbul Mujahideen militants, while they were travelling together in a vehicle on National Highway.

IGP said the arrested officer is being interrogated by all the security agencies and will be treated like the other arrested militants. 

Investigations are on into the motive behind transporting militants by DSP as is a sensitive issue, we are involving all the intelligence agencies including CID, IB and RAW in the investigations.
